Quick reply with 3rd party keyboard from lock screen

Hey

I was looking for a tweak that will let me use SwiftKey when quick replying from the lock screen (without disabling the pass code) and I found exkeyboard. When I enable it and try to reply from the lock screen with only SwiftKey enabled no keyboard shows up at all.. The only thing I see is like a transparent box where the keyboard should be.

Does exkeyboard work for anyone or is it something I do wrong?
