What qualifies as a data/file protection app on the Mac?

They offer a data/file protection package, which uses a decentralized storage concept as part of the approach.
Apparently there's a demo that you can use, but there's no place that I can find the cost of that service. Probably would pop up with that bit of important information if you download and run the software.
