I just partitioned my external harddrive. I was just wondering, the half that i have set up with time machine, when it makes back ups, will it replace the old backup? Could someone explain how it functions with the space on my partitiion. Will it just keep eating up space until none is left and then need more space or does it overwrite periodically? Thanks

I read the title as "Quicktime machine question" :p

It keeps the old backups until it needs room, then it begins deleting old files, for example:

You make a backup everyday from day 1 to 7, by day 7, the hard drive is full, so it deletes day 1s files, got it?

If you head on over to http://www.apple.com/support/leopard/timemachine/

might have some other info that'll help you :)

Your right, i didn't even realize someone could mistake the title haha.

Thanks for your help, thats what i needed to know.
