Quick User Switching Requiring Password

I've recently discovered the advantages of setting up multiple user accounts for the different areas I like to work in (one dedicated to audio production, etc). What makes it all easier is the Quick User Switching feature. Problem is that even with my preferences set to Automatic Login, I'm prompted for a password each time I try and switch over. Kind of defeats the purpose of Quick User Switching.

Is there a work-around to this? I can switch seamlessly if I set my system password to nothing, but that's not a good idea and causes other complications (i.e: LogMeIn won't access my computer from outside without a password, and won't accept a blank field as an option).

just curious: what's the benefit of separate accounts? for example, i find that, with audio production, i sometimes want ALL my other apps closed (so ram, and the processor, are focused on the audio work). with fast user switching, anything left open in another account is still open...just something to consider...

If the separate accounts are protected with passwords too then the system will always ask you. Automatic login cannot override the security settings of individual accounts, an administrator can only designate one account for this purpose.
