When I first restart my machine, JPEG previews work fine. After some time (or perhaps it's conflicting with another app? I don't know), it'll stop working and I just get the spinning hatch marks where a thumbnail would normally appear. I "solve" the problem by doing a Restart (which also "solves"a few other issues I'm having), which is just a bandaid I know, but don't have any other way.

I read another post and installed Malwarebytes (clear) and EtreCheck (report below). Shows an issue with QuickLookUIHelper.app. I don't know if I could find a clean file from an old backup as I don't know when this issue surfaced (I've got several anomalies I'm trying to nail down). I don't understand the report and where does one even find a clean copy of QuickLookUIHelper.app?

Help?

This is the first time I've seen an EntreCheck report, but I don't think it's saying there's anything wrong with your copy of QuickLookUIHelper.app -- e.g., it's not saying there's malware in it. Rather, just that QuickLookUIHelper.app had caused a diagnostic report regarding Memory usage. This may or may not be a problem.

Unfortunately I don't have much else to help you, except to suggest that when the problem starts try just logging out and then back in instead of restarting the whole machine. At least it would be a bit faster.
