Just got my first iPhone and I'm loving it :)

When I go to sleep at night, I would like to be able to hear phone calls, but I do not want to be woken up by every email that comes in. Is there a quick and simple way of disabling just email notifications? I know I can plough through settings and set them to manual, but it would be a bit laborious to have to do all that every night and every morning.

Thanks :)

You must be a really light sleeper because I don't hear my emails when I'm sleeping. I even have email sounds on my iMac by my bed at night too.

Other than settings... nope pretty sure you can't turn them off any easier. Apple won't allow developers to access settings like that.

have you try setting - sound - turn off "New Mail"?? hope this help.

This seems to be the best way. A little long-winded, but not too painful once you've got the sequence by heart.

I guess the iPhone could do with being able to set profiles (night, office, meeting, normal etc.)
