Quicken 2004

Anyone using Quicken 2004? I am a Quicken user from 1994, I have upgraded every time they had an upgrade through 2001. Since 2001 I said no more upgrades because what I use it for they coundn't do much more to change it. I use it for basic checking and investments. Oh I use it on my PC based machine. I have since bought an ibook and I have Quicken 2004 already installed. I was looking at it tonight and it has a new look of course from the 2001 and I was thinking about converting my PC data files to the mac. Is anyone using this program is it any good? Would I be crazy to do this. After using the program for so long I need a change. What do you think?

I have heard that the version for the Mac seems to be lacking in some stuff. I'm not sure if certain forms weren't included with the mac version or it was another program by that company.

There might be some sort of import feature for getting your pc data over to your Mac. But then again, isn't that all your old data, might just want to save it somewhere and just start using it on your Mac.

One month ago I switched from Quicken 2000 on my PC to Quicken 2004 on my Mac. You can create QIF files of your PC data that you can email to your Mac, then open in Quicken 2004. I was able to move all my pc data to my Mac.
It took a bit of time, but it went pretty smoothly.

Quicken for Mac is not that bad. It took a bit of an adjustment, but it takes care of my needs just fine (bank accounts, mutual fund accounts, and some stocks). What I am really happy about is getting everything I can off my pc and on to my Mac.

I have been using Quicken since 1991. Discovered it at MacWorld Boston at their exhibit. Have enjoyed using it ever since. I use it for Online Banking also. When calling for IT assistance from my bank, they have noticed differences with the Mac. Some of those deficiencies have been fixed in Quicken 2004. It will occasionally self quite without warning. I whole hardily recommend Quicken 2004.

It has an import data function, so I think that you will be successful!
