Quickpwn not working for iphone 2g

I have mac ox 10.5.7 with iTunes 8.2. I decided to restore my first generation iphone because it had been running poorly. When I did so, I tried to use quickpwn but it will not detect my iphone. I tried connecting it to a usb hub after doing some research but that didn't work either. Anyone have a solution?

downgrade itunes to itunes 8 or use someone else's computer that still has it on.

had the same problem last week myself. quickpwn didn't unlock it though
