What am I doing wrong? I downloaded quickpwn onto my mac and even put my phone back to an original state. But even when I do everything step by step and follow the on screen instructions, I get to the last part and nothing happens. It tells me that quickpwn will begin to run on my iPhone, but it never does. My phone just stays on a blank white screen for 10 minutes and it's still "un"jailbroken. What gives? I want to jailbreak!

Please help if you can. Thanks

It is not unlikely that you are doing it on a laptop, or an older desktop computer.

Try doing it on a buddies newer desktop system with USB2.0 and powered usb ports. Makes the difference for me; I can't do it on my IBM lappy cause it's stuck on USB1.1 and the data transfer isn't fast enough... the phone fubars itself before it gets done jailbreaking.

It's actually an older mac, is that a problem? So I should try on a different computer, basically?

:apple:Yeah try a newer mac you wont lose data cause quickpwn dosent use itunes!:apple: Also try pwnage then you can jailbreak via iTunes so that should work!

I'll try quickpwn on a different computer when I get home. I thought about pwnage, but that looks complicated compared to quickpwn. Thoughts on it?

I am on a Mac Laptop that i bought July 2008 Mac OSX 10.5.6 And on the Devs Blog it says that you need to downgrade your USB ports but thats if your having a problem getting into DFU mode. However, i had the same problem you had, the white screen of death after i got into DFU mode, it would just reboot and show white after i let go of the home button. Try this, this is what worked for me, when your going into DFU mode and it tells you to let go of the home button, it will then say it should reboot and everything will be fine. But what you and I both got the white screen of death after letting go. Next time, instead of just letting go of the home button, continue holding it for about 30 more seconds or until the phone completely reboots and everything should be ok. When it tells you to let go of the home button, dont, just keep holding it all the way through until it reboots, thats what happened to me and thats how i fixed it. Hope this helps!

EDIT: I am on a Mac Laptop
