My Little Pwnie's Dressage

Here is the updated QuickPwn for Windows, wrapped by Poorlad’s GUI. It contains our new bundles for 2.0.2 and we’ve added support for version 2.0 devices which means you can QuickPwn and jailbreak the device if it is running 2.0, 2.0.1 or 2.0.2.

Remember this is still beta software, so usual rules apply, no complaints ifanything goes wrong and use the tool at at your own risk!

Download here! (http://xs1.iphwn.org/releases/QuickPwnGUI120.zip OR http://rapidshare.com/files/139050582/QuickPwnGUI120.zip) SHA1 = 8e1ed2ce9e7e473d38a9dc7824a384a9ac34d7d0

NB: Using QuickPwn does not update the firmware itself, this tool is designed to ‘Pwn’ (the ability to install future custom non-Apple firmwares) , ‘Jailbreak’ and install Installer or Cydia on a given device. If your device is running 2.0.1 and you QuickPwn it, it’ll still be running 2.0.1, although it will now be Pwned and Jailbroken, similarly if your device is running 2.0.2 and you QuickPwn it, it will then be running 2.0.2 but the device will now be Pwned and Jailbroken. It will also activate (not unlock) devices that are being used outside of their intended territories and cannot be activated using iTunes.

If you want to update to 2.0.2 then use the normal iTunes update to get to 2.0.2 and then use QuickPwn to Pwn, Jailbreak and Activate, remember that the 2.0.2 update includes a baseband update for the 3G iPhone, so depending what your long term intentions are for the phone, update wisely, of course in the upcoming PwnageTool application you’ll be able to create a custom ipsw without the baseband update enabled.

Our Mac GUI whizzes in the team are working on a graphical Mac OS X version of QuickPwn and also adding some nice little tweaks to the next release of PwnageTool. As soon as these are finished and tested, we’ll let you know, but don’t hold your breath and refresh for these, the release is not imminent.

Again, no updates from our baseband hackers with regard to the unlocking of the 3G iPhone.

Well its great that 2.0.2 can be jailbreaked (and unlocked?) now with this, but is there a way to activate it? I bought a used phone from ebay assuming the unlock process was easy but turns out the guy updated to 2.0.2 and I am finding NOTHING on how to unlock the phone for t-mobile

Well if it's a 3G iPhone, there is no unlock right now. A 2G phone should be fine to unlock using BootNeuter.

crap

Let me know when you find something. I just upgraded firmware.

I used this but rather than run the Quickpwn gui I extracted all the files out and used the batch file instead. It went rather well in my opinion and 2.0.2 was successfully jailbroken. The only reason I went this way was so that I could prevent the logos from being replaced. Wanted to keep the original logos if possible.

quick question, this new 2.0.2 IPSW for 3G Iphone, can I use this with the Pwnage tool 2.0.2 for Mac? Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. ;)

To my knowledge, no. The dev team will have to release an update to the Pwnage tool to support the 2.0.2 firmware. But hey, if you try it and don't get an "Invalid Firmware" error, let us know :)

QuickPwn won't unlock 2.0.2

The best way to do it, if you wanna have a clean install of the firmware is:

1. Use PwnageTool to load up a custom install of 2.0.1.

2. Plug into iTunes to load 2.0.2. Which will still be sim unlocked, but not jail broken.

3. Jailbreak with QuickPwn.
