i have tried turning it off and on but he just comes back up (itunes DOES NOT recognize my iphone.

i attempted to put it into DFU mode but now my phone WILL NOT turn on

Try following the guide again.

10.5.6?

tried the guide like 3 times, nothing is working..

Are you trying this on a Mac running 10.5.6? If so then you are being hit by the problem where the Mac will not recognise an iPhone in DFU mode. You can either get a Mac running 10.5.5 (or earlier), use a Windows PC :( or connect the iPhone via a USB hub. If you are not using a Mac running 10.5.6 then where in the process described at,

are you getting stuck?

Regards, Alec

^^^^ what he said.

Ah yes, I forgot about the new problems that 10.5.6 have caused.

Good thing I haven't updated to it yet. I don't feel like going out and buying a USB hub just yet.

k i tried that for like literally 5 minutes and nothing happened ugh im on a pc and im reall stuck..

You don't need a hub. Here's the fix.

hey andy,

i just looked at your zip file which includes two files in IOUSBFamily.kext

yours -
AppleUSBHub - 276kb
IOUSBCompositeDriver - 148kb
