Hi,
I understand that OSX uses Intel QuickSync for FaceTime and Airplay Mirroring.
I have extensively looked for some way to re-encode video very quickly to justify getting an Ivy Bridge iMac. Some 3rd party software that does it via QuickSync...?
Please can somebody explain why re-encoding video doesn't use this technology on OSX?
Why are there no 3rd Party re-encoders which use it?
I found this on YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBIarn0mQW0
a person showing off the Ivy Bridge MacBook Air's capabilities with re-encoding.
He is running Windows 7 and 3rd party software.
It's kind of ridiculous.
Does anyone know - thanks in anticipation -
I gotsta know!
