Hi
I was trying to create a simple (image sequence) slideshow in QuickTime X -- I miss QT 7 Pro's basic but useful editing features -- when, apparently, I did more than my old Mac mini could handle (somehow). And after several minutes of non-responsiveness, I decided to force quit QT -- which, again apparently, was a bad idea -- then just relaunch and try again but with fewer images. Unfortunately, QT has now given up completely. Every time I launch the app it stalls instantly.
I've trashed all QuickTime-related files in /Library/Preferences and ~/Library/Preferences and ~/Library/Caches, plus performed a few system restarts along the way
So... Has anyone seen this (flaw) before, have a solution?
Thanks.
P.S. Yes, yes, I'll use iMovie after this. I've just been so accustomed to using QT 7 Pro's copy and paste functionality to quickly combine (i.e., append) clips, photos, etc in a minimalistic manner.
