Quicktime has no sound after Update 3

Yesterday, i did the Yosemite update 3 after which Quicktime wont play sound when i forward the video.. If i dont forward, then the sound will be played normally. This does confirm that there is a problem and the file is fine. I tried playing with VLC and the sound plays even when i forward. please help

I'm running into the same issue. It makes it kind of annoying to not be able to use iTunes to watch something I just got on iTunes.

What's more annoying is that if you use Safari, any native HTML5 web video/audio has the same issue. Affected sites include soundcloud.com or even youtube.com if you use ClickToPlugin.

Found a solution!

Replace

/System/Library/Components/CoreAudio.component/Contents/MacOS/CoreAudio

with the one from DP2 (can be easily extracted with Pacifist from the DP2 delta .pkg).

Found a solution!

Replace

/System/Library/Components/CoreAudio.component/Contents/MacOS/CoreAudio
