When I try to download that by pasting the source URL into the download windows, all I get is 4KB reference file.

Alternately you can Control+Click to save the movie in Q-format but you may need QT Pro.

Well, you just ran into Quicktime's ability to not let someone steal the content that is being streamed. You can however look for it in the Quicktime cache, which I forget where it is, but if you look for answers about Quicktime cache to save a quicktime stream you might find your answer.

is there no like third party app anyone knows off where you can just put in the URL and the file pops out the other end?
