Quicktime has been acting up lately. It won't play Quicktime movies in Safari. It will show the Q logo for a while then the progress bar will play through but it will be white with no sound. I can open a Quicktime file that I have on my hard drive in Safari, but things like Apple's trailer page and iFilms do not work. At one point in time I was able to get it to work if I had Opera open simultaneously, but now that isn't working. I've removed all the preference files from the preference folders so that new ones can be built but nothing seems to be working. Any ideas anyone? This is kind of annoying.

i could only recommend rebooting, repairing permissions, then rebooting again. also check that you've got all the Software Updates. you could also check on Apple's Support pages (KnowlegeBase).

sorry that's not too specific, but sometimes glitches like these just happen, sometimes they go away just as randomly... all the best.
