I need to record my phone calls and using Soundflower to route both the audio system output and microphone input into Quicktime.

I see the signal coming in and everything seems fine.. but when I record, only the microphone input gets recorded properly.. the output (the other guy on the phone) not..

What can be the issue?

Have you tried the steps here? I don’t think you can do what you want to do using Soundflower alone.

I should also note as a word of caution that Apple is introducing changes in macOS Catalina that may eventually lead to its no longer being supported in its current form with a future macOS release.

thanks!

Yea, I followed this exactly.

Looks like the same thing.
But I'll go over the tutorial you sent to see if I missed something.

Good to know about the OS update.. that's why I hate updates lol.

The functionality of Soundflower should've been built into MacOS by default.

Okey, just tested everything.. "Screen recording" works perfectly, but "Audio recording" not..

How is that possible ?

I was always told Apple disables audio on phone convos due to legality issues with some states. I have tried countless ways and never succeeded.
hm, that's interesting. Thanks.

I have tried this with just regular audio (song/youtube video) playing..

But I mean, in the worst case I just do screen recordings instead, with a very small recording area (to save space)
