QuickTime vs Flash

I noticed that running QuickTime (in Safari) generates so little heat it is so different from, so incomparable with Flash (on FF), is this a known fact ?

Yes, QT renders in hardware, while Flash renders in software, causing the CPU to work harder, which generates more heat.

Depends on your MBA. Well maybe not. However, Apple opened up h.264 acceleration a few months ago. Now Adobe is taking advantage of it. I notice about the same performance from either to be honest... Flash really isn't the POS everyone makes it out to be. Apple is the crime in that whole deal, but thankfully they're choosing which battles to tackle right now. Currently, Apple has folded in the computing OS front, and just started to fold on the iPhone with the developer tools requirements change last week.

Apple must be very afraid of anti-trust issues. Seriously, they did a 180 big time! Someone has pulled the right strings wherever, and we, the users, are the big winners!
