Quicktime

I like Quicktime. I like it better than other players.

When I first got my MacBook C2D a month and a half ago, Quicktime opened quickly when I opened a video file. Now, however, the Quicktime doc icon shows up in the doc, but it takes a minute to several minutes before the file opens.

I've tried re-installing Quicktime, but same problem.

Anyone had similar issues? Could it have to do with any codecs I've added? I'll list them later when I get home.

Several minutes!! wow that's really long. I also had issues on my former Mac, online videos or clips didn't display, they only showed white. In the beginning this happenend sometimes and after a while it was always, also tried reinstalling but with no effect.
