Has anyone played the RUSE Beta? Ive been playing since it was out and it is FANTASTIC when it works, ive never played a better RTS. And the best part? Its FREE until June. You can get it on steam it auto added to the games list 2 or so weeks ago and im so glad i got it instead of supreme commander 2 (im in an RTS mood, but I throw some BC2 in there as well).

Just was wondering if anyone else is playing.

Can you elaborate on the DRM info? I just downloaded it, haven't had a chance to play it yet though.

I'd play it, but I'm not going to support Ubisoft's new DRM scheme.

The offline mode appears to suck anyway, I cant imagine playing this game with an AI, so it really doesnt bother me. Im sorry but I really dont get why so many people make a fuss over DRMs that are most of the time easy to bypass anyway.

because the only people that bypass is it end up being the people that don't pay in the first place, so the only people punished are those that paid in the first place! it's dumb.

And just because you don't suffer doesn't mean others don't. And there are PLENTY of people complaining at the moment =)

Say you and your brother both have laptops, and you're on a family trip. You'd like to play R.U.S.E. against each other but you don't have Internet in your car. Previously, it wouldn't matter, but now? You can't play. Say your Internet goes down for a couple of days at home. You can't play. Say THEIR connection goes down. You can't play. And so on.

It's them restricting you from using something you legally paid for when you like. Sure, that's their prerogative, but I think it sucks and it's my prerogative not to buy their games. I haven't pirated them, but I'm not going to pay for them either.
