r1800 and Imac

[popbug]

Hello guys, I just bought a imac a few weeks ago and I so excited to have it. Anyway, I have a r1800 epson printer that I tried to hook up to it but its not printing out the picutures correctly. Also it doesn't give me some options like paper size and type. My girlfriend had an older macbook that it worked fine on but for some reason the imac and printer are not responding to each other. I have seen on other forums that this might be a problem but I just don't know how to solve the problem. Its frustrating that the printer is doing this. Has anybody heard of this problem and would you know how I can fix it....please. thanks
