check out this xbench compare. http://ladd.dyndns.org/xbench/merge.xhtml?doc1=55657&doc2=54835

the one in red is my blue and white with a radeon 7000 pci card in the 66mhz pci slot vs a agp 2x sawtooth which has a radeon 8500. look at all the graphic oriented scores. mine comes out a good amount faster in many of those tests. I know my G4 cpu is 100MHz faster but this sawtooths graphics bus and card blow mine away so how is it that mine is faster?

its not that this bothers me :) I would just like to know what I am doing right to make this happen.

as I look at the scores a bit more it seems that its mainly the raw 2D tests that mine is faster. surely a G4 only 100mhz faster can't improve 2D that much. plus on top of the much faster graphics pipeline the sawtooth has it also has a 133mhz system bus vs. my 100mhz. I just need to know as this is a very nice but odd problem to have.

To be honest, I'm not too surprized.
CPU speed is (especially at those speeds) very important. Some apps rely more on raw CPU power than others, and other apps rely more on the GPU.
I don't expect the G4 400 Mhz to fill the bandwidth of AGP 2x either.

Check this out for another comparison.

the one test my video card almost always trumps others at is the "User Inteface Test" my score for that test was 107.67. maybe others could post their user interface score so I can get a better feel. please give the card type.

thanks in advance
