Might be the guy still selling GT120ies? 🤣Someone in Germany is listing one on eBay. View attachment 906646
Yes, ...as there has never been for any base-configuration-parts, people only wanted to get rid of after upgrading.I don't really believe there is a market.
No, the power comes from the logic board specific to the 7,1Would one run in a 5,1?
None, you just insert the MPX card in the PCIe slot, no boxes/brackets/etc.Quick question - sorry to resurrect an old thread. I found one of these inexpensively and now want to buy a good used 2019 Mac Pro. I was wondering if there are any other components that you guys had to have to plug in the MPX card? It looks standalone but I wasn't sure if there was a separate MPX module box that the cards goes in or just straight into the MAC Pro PCIe slot?
Awesome, now I just need to find an inexpensive shell of a Mac Pro 2019 - that seems to be pretty hard to find without a graphics card already in it. And it's the graphics card that rockets up the price. Trying to find just the chassis/motherboard/PSU with no modules (or at least no graphics modules) to build it on the cheap.None, you just insert the MPX card in the PCIe slot, no boxes/brackets/etc.
You only need power cables if you are using a PC GPU.
It's a interesting project and good luck finding all that you need, but you are mistaken with your RX-580 MPX module being the lion share of the cost. It's pretty inexpensive when you factor everything else.Awesome, now I just need to find an inexpensive shell of a Mac Pro 2019 - that seems to be pretty hard to find without a graphics card already in it.
