Hi All,

Apologies is this sounds like a stupid question to post but am struggling to find a definite answer, hoping maybe someone here has the answer who is running this card.

What's the resolution achievable on this card over HDMI - Looking to purchase the machine spec below but the monitor I'm on isn't USB-C so would need to run it over HDMI.

Also, final push, but has anyone ran Battlefield V on Bootcamp on this card, what's the performance like?

With the following configuration:
3.3GHz 12‑core Intel Xeon W processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.4GHz
96GB (6x16GB) of DDR4 ECC memory
Radeon Pro W5700X with 16GB of GDDR6 memory
4TB SSD storage

The W5700X has an HDMI 2.0 port so it should be able to do 4K 60Hz 8 bpc RGB or 12 bpc YCbCr 4:2:2. I believe it uses a DisplayPort 1.4 to HDMI 2.0 adapter internally.

If the monitor isn't USB-C, then maybe it is DisplayPort? DisplayPort would be better to use than HDMI. Use a USB-C to DisplayPort cable.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah my monitor has display port and HMDI, didnt mention the display port as I thought the Mac pro didnt have display port for external monitor.

I read it as HDMI and USB-C - or did I just completely miss something :)

No Apple branded GPU for the 7,1 NcMP has a DP connection ? The Pro580X has HDMI only (BT is on the Mac not the card). All the other GPUs have HDMI and BT connections.

Thunderbolt 3 ports of MPX modules are USB-C ports that support the following:
1) USB.
2) Thunderbolt alt mode.
3) USB-C DisplayPort alt mode (either USB 3.x and two lanes of DisplayPort 1.4, or USB 2.0 and four lanes of DisplayPort 1.4).

So, to connect a DisplayPort display, use a USB-C to DisplayPort cable such as the one from Moshi sold on the Apple Store.
