And how much will Apple charge for the coming soon w5700x option you guess?

The w5700 will be better for gaming, around about 1080GTX performance.

I’d guess they will charge 1350-2000 as separate or around 1000-1620 as an upgrade.

Usually Apple down clock their GPUs a little. Fingers crossed it might be between the 1080 and 1080ti. In some games, where DX12 is used in Windows, it may do better.

There are already benchmarks for the w5700x for metal and opencl. See if those are relevant.

Those don't appear to be real benchmarks. I think they're from Hackintoshes.

Probably running with a 5700 XT which is similar but slightly less powerful.

These are also compute benchmarks, not graphics benchmarks. The 5700 series is generally weaker than Vega at compute, but stronger in graphics performance.

I hope the 10.15.5 update grants me some stability with my 5700XT in my 7,1 otherwise I'll have to actually consider selling pints of blood for a W5700X just for stability.

What problem do you have the stability?

^^^^Yep, that's for darn sure. If it was available when I bought mine I would have opted for it rather the the RX5700XT that I now have ?

The Vega II is the more powerful card for gaming, especially in terms of frame-rate stability. The Navi cards seem to fluctuate more with performance; it's reported in numerous reviews of PC versions of these cards. Same goes for the general instability at times

but since its one generation behind I recall it severely lacks than W5700X in a few other applications.
