Hey all

I just bought a loot of games this weekend from the app store Including borderlands, mini ninja, quake 4, bioshock 2 all seem to run great except rage I have a iMac 2010 model with a 2.8ghz i7 quad core processor 8gb of ram and 512mb video card.

When I max out the resolution it seems to lag any help would be great otherwise i can't wait to try rage on my MacBook pro retina.

Can you adjust the settings in Rage? You can't on the PC one without editing settings files.

If it's lagging try turning down the resolution. It automatically selects the best settings to get it running at 60fps. But if it can't handle your res on (automatic) lowest settings then it'll be the res that has to drop :).

I bought Rage (and lots of Feral games too, edddeduck ;) ) and play it on the Mac Pro '08 with Radeon 5870.
This grfx card lets me play Rage on max settings, 1920 x 1200.

If I were to call the settings on the 2010 iMac (Radeon 5670 ?) I would guess al settings medium, max resolution.

Hi, I basically turn off fsaa and lower the res (keeping the ratio though!). At native res it's jerky but lowered it looks almost as good plus it's smooth :)
Perhaps the native res is just that bit too much? FSAA always kills... on Mac anyhow :/

Btw.. Anyone know if there's a console to enable or a way to tinker & tweak the settings? Tia :)

Installing Rage on my iMac with ATI Radeon HD 4850 to play it on maxed out settings. My MacBook Air only could run it with low settings, but I want to see the maximum.

The game is nice (post-apocalyptic setting), half-finished it yesterday. KI is boring and Rage is from its controls more a console game. Great port from Aspyr, everything is working fine. I had problems with the Windows version, couldn't run it (black screen). Mac version runs great on mid settings on my iMac 24".

I finished RAGE today. Great game, but I didn't like the cinematic ending, it was too short. I think with a little bit more story and npc interaction like Call of Duty single player games, this game could be awesome and not just great. It was one hero against all enemies, I didn't like that. Some NPCs fight next to you or help you would have been great. There were some NPCs in the fights, but only very short fights where they helped you. The game design is really nice, reminded me of Mad Max, Waterworld, Terminator ... I would recommend this game if you like standard fps with great graphics but less story and interaction.
