I see Highpoint has come out with some new cards that accommodate up to 8 SSDs where the 7101A-1 can support up to 4.
I tried to put in a pre-sales question on the Highpoint web site to see which card they would recommend for 8xM.2 SSDs, comparing the existing 4xSSD cards but was unable to get their web site to allow me to ask them the question. Sigh.
Does anyone here have perspective on the new cards?
It would seem practical to start with 4xSSDs and move to 8xSSDs a bit later on without having to buy another card, yes?
If so, would any of the the new 8xSSD-capable cards allow booting WIN10 using VMWare, such as perhaps the SSD7140?
