Raid SSD Drives

Hey guys ,
For some reason I can't boot to recovery , on my 2009 Mac Pro .

I was told by a technician at simply Mac in New York City , Manhattan ,

That you cannot boot to recovery , from two drives that are RAID together .
I have two 500GB SSD drives Raided as one . It is my main OS drive. Is this true?
Any help would greatly appreciate !!

This is true. Just make a USB installer for your OS and boot to the recovery partition on that.
