Hi Guys i have mac pro 2009 ruining windows and osx, i have Davinci resolve on Windows and would like to set up raid 0 with 2 HD my question is when i try to access my storage HD via windows via resolve that was installed via osx i get permission denied so i cant access any files from that HD now if i buy 2 HD and install then via windows and raid them to 0 will u get any issues access them. Or should i just buy external raid i am thinking Vantec NexStar MX Enclosure which is usb 3.0 and esata but which one is faster usb 3.0 or esata and will i need to purchase esata or usb3.0 cards with my setup

Thanks guys

I'm guessing that Windows can't read an OSX software RAID volume (assuming you setup the RAID 0 via Disk Utility in OSX).

Maybe someone here knows if there is Windows software that will enable Windows to see OSX RAID volume. Also, make sure the volume is formatted exFAT as it's the only disk format that both Windows and OSX can read/write to (not counting old FAT16).

Also, External RAID enclosures will work. Again, just be sure to format the volume exFAT.

As to whether you need to purchase esata or usb 3.0 cards, I guess only you will know that...we don't know what you have in your Mac Pro!

HFS Windows driver MacDrive is good for RAID or there is Paragon HFS driver
