RAID0 two SSD worth it?

If I connect two SDD's (samsung EVO) in my mac mini, in raid 0, will it be worth the speed boost. Will I get double the speed?

Reason I ask, is because I remember reading somewhere, that there is a maximum on data transfer.

You will get speeds of around 1GB/s but in everyday use you will not notice much of a difference, unless you do very HDD intensive tasks.

In fact it may even be slower on some tasks, although the difference between RAID0 and a single drive setup in that regard are in the order of milliseconds, so don't worry about that.

You will get approximately double the speed. It will be a little less because it is a software RAID and there is some overhead. There is a maximum transfer rate of 6 Gb/s on each SATA port, so expect a limitation of around 12 Gb/s in RAID0. What are you using the computer for? You probably won't notice the difference between using a single SSD in day to day usage.
