i guess i'll post the review on here first.

The overall idea of the app is a good one. A relaxing rain noise generator which does just that: provides a soothing continuous flow of rain noise. It invokes childhood memories of rain while camping. However, when coupled with music playback, there are a few shortcomings. Since the rain noises are tied to the overall device volume, you either need to play your music really quietly and crank the rain noises in the app or else the rain is washed out even when the in app volume is all the way up. I personally prefer to just use it for the rain noises.

The interface, while simplistic, is a bit ugly. The off centered music controls and song info aren't visually pleasing. The strangely functioned music symbol button isn't really necessary, because with 4.1, you can multitask and go change the music that's playing without having to manually make a queue. The symbols for the rain are also not very pretty. A simple gradient and jaggy symbols doesn't really cut it for an app that costs three dollars.

Overall, as a rain noise generator, it does its job well. But with several more updates, such as a louder overall volume and a better UI, (and perhaps a lower price) this app would be completely satisfactory.
