ram ceiling in Macbooks

How much difference will upgrading a 2GH MacBook from the standard 1 gig of ram to 2 gigs ( £120 )make? will it really make use of all the extra ram or is there a graphics card / processor bottleneck somewhere that can not be exceeded, no matter how much ram you throw at it?

edit - i do a lot of 3D gaming, WoW etc

Extra RAM is absolutely worth the money, so go for it.

If you really like 3D gaming, you would be better served selling your MB and buying an MBP. Having said that, 2GB of RAM makes a big difference in modern apps.

1GB vs 2GB is a dramatic performance increase. Highly recommended.

tnx, ok i will spring for the extra gig, and unusually from my experience it seems top cost less from apple so i will get it pre-installed and avoid the stress of putting it in myself.
