Hi,
one quick question:
I have an iMac DV (G3-400)
I want to get more RAM, to stick in my "two banks of one slot"
I currently have two modules, one in each of my two slots, both PC100 (one is 64MB and 100MHz - and I guess the other is the same, cause I have 128MB in total).
If I buy a module with 256 or 512MB will it be ok to put it in with one of the 64MB ones? The Crucial website gives conflicting information about whether it is always necessary to have your two modules identical in size.
Another slightly more complicated question...
I'm considering forgetting my projected Jaguar upgrade and getting Linux Ubuntu. Do you think the memory upgrade will help/be necessary for this purpose...? Any other thoughts? My main computer use will be word processing (switching files between my Mac and Microsoft Word for Windows), photos and music. (By the way, anyone know if it is difficult to find CD burners compatible with Linux?)
Hope that's not too much...
all thoughts/replies very gratefully received,
Robin
