Ram Exact Spec?

Hi I am going to buy the i7 4gb ram mac mini, does it come with 1x4Gb card or 2x2gb cards? And what ram works in a mini? Thanks
 
Just as a dumb question because I never got that part and I just read an article about DDR4-4000 RAM: How important is RAM-speed in real world use? I'm just wondering 'cos Quad-Core i7 CPUs and SSDs aren't the bottleneck anymore.

this is a good question. for a mac mini server quad core the cpu is fast add a ssd that is fast ram 8gb 1600 or 1866 is fast the slowest part would be the hd3000 graphics. as of today no mac mini has good fast graphics.

not the i7 with the dedicated gpu.

no mac mini fast graphics for decent gaming. now if ddr4-4000 ram comes in a 2013 mini with a has well cpu and hd5000 intel graphics that may be the first good mini for graphics. if you want to play games on a 46-60 inch tv with solid graphics you need a mac pro or maybe the top of the line macbook pro with the 6770 gpu

Not very important, because CPU <--> RAM interfaces have only a limited bandwith. A faster memory module does not increase this bandwith.

High RAM speeds require at least two things:
- High end CPUs (see x264 H.264 encoder)
- More power (produces more heat)

The speed improvement is usually in the range of 5-10 percent, depending on the benchmark and depending on the other hardware.

It would be easier to actually google the i7 proccessor and then check the ram specs of it. It will say how much ram it wil take in and what sort of ram it will take, such as 1333 MHz kinds and the 1600mhz kinds (for example)
