I bought the 8 gig Corsair Ram from Amazon. I installed it and kept getting kernel panics. I sent the Ram back to Amazon.
Now I am back to square one with 2 gigs of Ram.
Can someone please recommend some good Ram at a reasonable price? My gut says OWC, but it is a bit pricey. Thank You.

Crucial is your best bet. Did you order 1.35v or 1.5v ram?

This is what I had. 1.5v.

Oh No!

Nice, I have corsair memory coming (from newegg) for my 2011 mini. Will be interesting to see how it works. CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9

Looks like the same specs. Fingers crossed. I've been pretty lucky with generic ram from newegg on my 2010 mini's and 2010 mbp's. That was 1066 memory, maybe 1333 is a bit more finicky.

It may arrive tomorrow or Friday. I'll let you know. Fortunately my 2011 mini is for my theater media server, so it's not critical and memory was just for a little better responsiveness.

been using the 8gb corsair ram for over 3 weeks now. haven't seen a single kernel panic.

Anyone using this "Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 Laptop Memory Model KVR1333D3SOK2/8GR" ?

I bit the bullet and ordered the Corsair kit on amazon. Let's hope all is well. *fingers crossed*

I installed the Corsair 8GB and booted up the Mac Mini (i5 2.5). Everything seemed fine. I installed MemTest and booted into Single-User mode and ran it over night. Everything seems to check out fine. So far, so good! :)

I purchased the same RAM off Amazon when purchasing my mini.

$47.99

Been using it for 3 months with no issues. I use this PC as my theater PC and it works great! We use it every day for streaming videos and just surfing the web.

I bought the same RAM over here for about 45$ and works great so far, I recommend it.

Is anyone using the new 8GB memory modules to give the mini 16GB? Curious how stable it is since I'm considering buying a mini soon.

Buy Kingston.... Corsair is horrible, take that crap out of Macs all the time.
Buy two KTA-MB1333/4G

had no problems with corsair ram for a month or so then got the kernel panics. found one bad stick. I sent it in under warranty and will see. But I have the same memory in another mini and it is fine.

I bought the same RAM, with my new Mini, got it for $24.99 with rebate.
