Hi, I am looking to buy my first Mac once Leopard is released. I wanted to get the 2.4 ghz 15in MBP. The problem is I want to max out the RAM but I don't want to pay Apple's price for it. I was wondering if anyone in this forum would be able to help me out and tell me the best place(s) to buy the RAM I will need. Thank you for your help.

Is there a way to distinguish the type of quality?

I have a MBP and before ordering I opened the cover and looked at the memory modules. I expected to see "Apple" or something on it. Instead I saw "Samsung" (I think).

I went to OWC and they had generic memory and Samsung memory. Maybe all memory is the same but I felt better getting the same brand name that Apple specked out. It was more expensive but I figured I'd rather pay now than pay later if you know what I mean.
