Don't use the Corsair Value Ram! I tried two different modules, and both caused havoc with my Macbook Pro. I think it actually needs to say "PC2 5300". I ended up going to Micro Center and buying Lifetime Memory, and it works perfectly.

1 gb kingston value
1 gb kingston

any suggestions ?

CanadaRAM

macrumors G5
Kingston KTA-MB667/1G - yes, compatible, in constrained supply
Kingston KVR-xxxxx ValueRAM - unknown, prior ValueRAM models have been incompatible with various Macs. Kingston does not guarantee compatibility.
TwinMOS - unknown.
Corsair ValueSelect - reported as incompatible

Your best bet is to buy from a reputable seller who guarantees compatibility with your Mac.

it costs around 230USD here in norway, its the only type of memory that is garantued to work. i cant order from international stores, the price difference dissapears and ends up with this = 25% when getting it to norway, shipping fees that are almost the same as the product itself + shipping time.

so the crucial ram i mentioned is garantued to work ?
