couple questions about upgrading the ram in my mini
would this be the right ram?

For a few bucks more, you can get memory that has been tested for your system. Try Crucial or one of the other memory companies.

The dual core 2 minis can support up to 3GB of RAM ... but I think you will sacrifice some performance by having two different sized memory DIMMs in the two slots. So, it is safest to stick with a 2 x 1GB DIMM installation.

Other World Computing (http://eshop.macsales.com/) will sell you a 3GB upgrade kit if you really want to try that route.
