Hi everyone
So im wondering is 8GB ram enough just for coding(Xcode)? If it is how many years approx it ll be?
I have two options
Used MBP 2015 15" 16GB RAM for 800$ or New MBP 2019 13" 8GB RAM for 1100$

Think both ll be enough only for next 2-3 years but if its 2019 i cant at least sell it with better profit

people like the 2015 MBP because its on the more reliable scissor-switch keyboard. 2019 model is straight up much faster CPU wise though. Also, despite the keyboard still being butterfly-switch on 2019s, there haven't been as many reports (from what I have found searching) on keyboard failures for 2019 models. I've read from a few different places that while the mechanism is the same, the way they manufacture the 2019 keyboards is slightly different/improved which should avoid the problem... Course 2019 was only a few months ago, so the issue may still be there but just hasn't popped up on people yet. Anyway, 8GB is enough for coding, just don't be running more than a couple programs at a time/don't have a lot of browser tabs open.
