Ram in matched pairs 2107 iMac?

Adding RAM to my 2017 iMac (Crucial, 16GB), and understand should be installed in pairs. OEM RAM is in slots 2 and 4 (Bank 0/DIMM1, Bank 1/DIMM1), so I should install in slots 1 and 3 to keep as matched pair, or move OEM to slots 3 and 4, and install new RAM to 1 and 2?
