yes, i've said it. RAM is over rated.

Recently the second ram slot on my Powerbook has died, leaving me witn the 256mb onboard ram. i've really adjusted to the change, 1.25 was too much for my needs.

I still play call of duty 2, and enjoy my powerbook just as much. ram is overrated.

Not everyone thinks so. Gotta love Forum Spy sometimes

huh? Call of duty 2 a benchmark for how much RAM is needed in a system?

try opening more than one app at a time

Well, i watch movies on dvd rips on vlc and play safari games at the same time without a hitch. Admittedly some things are a little slow (Ie: MS word and multitasking with the Dvd player + enter name of application) but from what i've seen in the last month ram really doesn't make the same earth shattering difference on the PB as it would for a machine with a more inadequate processor.
