I bought some MB ram from my co-worker to use in my MBP. It worked in his MB (its Hynix 256mb 5300 RAM). When I plug it into my MBP, the computer will not start (status light on front flashes). Once its removed, the MBP boots up.

Is it bad ram? It worked yesterday... or am I installing it wrong?

Is the RAM going in fully? you shouldnt be able to see ANY gold bits. Maybe try swapping the RAM round to the other slot. Honestly, i have no idea, im just making up suggstions.
