First of all, is it Macbook, Ibook or Notebook? I don't know what to call it.

My second question is how much of a difference is adding an extra gig of Ram?
I plan on buying the $1099.00 Mac with the Student discount. Will my Mac run at a decent speed with how I plan on using it?

Here are my uses:

Internet
Word (Papers)
Music
DVD's (Long Trips)

Thanks for the help!

Well if your buying a brand new, current model mac laptop, its Macbook.
And if thats all your going to be using on it, i woudlnt worry, it'll handle that with ease. You dont need to add another gig just for that stuff.
