RAM question

Hello everybody.
I just ordered a APP MC510LLA Apple MC510LL/A iMac with 27" Screen Desktop
with 4Gb RAM. I also ordered a Crucial CT51264BC1339 4GB DDR3 PC3-10600 204-pin SODIMM Notebook Memory, thinking that it will be already installed into the iMac but now that the computer has been shipped they told me it was not. So I don't know what to do. If I install the memory myself maybe I can damage the computer and screw the warranty. Or maybe this memory doesn't work properly with the iMac and it's not worth it. If something goes wrong, Apple just will wash their hands, saying the warranty no longer works for my computer. Should I send the memory back as soon as I get the iMac?

Apple provides instructions on how to replace memory. Just make sure your memory meets the specifications for your iMac.

Installing memory on an iMac requires 1 phillips screwdriver. Nothing else.

On the bottom of the monitor, in the middle, are three screws that access the RAM port. Unscrew all 3 screws and install memory. Very simple and takes 5 minutes.
Only hard part is flipping the heavy monitor over to access the port. Do this on your couch, to ensure a nice and cushy place for the monitor.

There are plenty of youtube vids out there to show this.

P.S. Adding memory will not void your warranty. This is a customer replaceable part.

Thank you so much. See, this is going to be my first iMac(always had a PC), so I don´t know almost anything about Mac computers. I just wanted to know if this memory was full compatible with my new iMac. It doesn´t seem very difficult to install, so I guess I will keep the memory and install myself.
