I've got one of the 17" Intel iMacs, which I bought with 1 GB of Apple RAM already installed. I was hoping to buy another 1 GB stick from newegg (the one at this link) to bring the total up to 2 GB. Here's the thing, though. I seem to recall reading that it's best to make sure that your sticks of RAM are matched for optimum performance. Does that mean that the combination of sticks that I mentioned above (1 gig Apple and 1 gig from newegg) are not the best possible combination? Would I be better off buying two from newegg and just using those? Or are those basically the same as the Apple ones?
