I just bout a PNY 1GB PC3200 184 pin DIMM kit for my PowerMac G5 1.6GHz. The problem is, I meant to buy the PC2700 RAM because that is what the computer takes. I know that one can install faster memory on PC motherboards and it will only run as fast as the motherboard allows it to. Is it safe to put faster RAM in a Mac than what the specs call for like with PCs, or can I only use PC2700 rated RAM?
