hi all,
i recently upgraded my Mac Pro early 2009//4,1 to a 5,1.
i ordered2 w5680 cpu's and found out i had a single processor.
still i put in the single processor and it is running fine now.
now i want to upgrade my ram i want full capacity.
i have read that since i put in 1 of 2 duoprocessors i can take advantage of the last slot and put in 64 gb of ram.
i see an offer for 4 x 16gb ddr3 1333Mhz 10600R. which is registered buffered ram.
somewhere else i read the Mac Pro does not like the R because it is unbuffered.
then there is also server ram for sale the PC3L, would this work in my mac?¿
is there an answer somewhere....?¿
best
