Hello guys

I have a 2017 5k iMac which came with x2 sticks of 4GB ram, I have just bought x2 sticks of 16GB (so 32GB in total) Can I keep the old 4GB sticks in or am I better off with just the 2 new 16GB sticks? Also, do I have to put them in certain slots?

Leave the two original 4GB RAM sticks where they are, and install the new 2x16GB sticks in the empty slots. If the new RAM matches your iMac's RAM specifications, it should work.
