I just bought 2gb of ram for my mac mini (core solo) I currently only have 512mb. Will I be able to tell the difference between the two configurations.

not at all. why'd you buy the ram?? updates to computer hardware don't ever affect computer performance at all either just some fyi lol

Just kidding, the above was totally sarcastic if you couldn't tell.... should speed things up quite a bit!

Adding an extra gig of ram or more will have a nice performance boost on your computer. When I get my iMac I plan on adding a 2gig stick of ram to the current 1gig of ram that comes with it.

I have and iBook. This year I added only 512 of Ram to the 512 I already had; and sure I can tell the difference. The computer performs much better, specially when I open a lot of "big" applications like iPhoto, Photoshop, etc...

Adding Ram is always the best investment you can do
