I just wanted to clarify something. Originally I thought I read on these forums somewhere that if you upgrade the RAM to a 3rd party hardware source then it will void the 3 year applecare warranty.

However, when I googled the topic this morning every post I saw said that the warranty is still fine since the RAM is a "user-upgradable" part. Most of those posts I saw were from 2006 or earlier.

So has something changed in the last yr, or can I still upgrade the RAM and keep my applecare warranty intact?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't... but I would keep the Apple RAM it comes with and put that in if you ever have to take it in, lol.
